About Us

Silver Chips is Montgomery Blair High School's award-winning print newspaper.  We print a 32-page paper in 7 cycles per school year.

First published in 1937, Silver Chips is one of Maryland's longest-running student print newspapers.  We have been printing out papers without fail since the paper's launch, and plan to continue the tradition of quality independent student journalism.

Our mission is to promote fearless, independent student journalism.  Our paper is well recognized, independent, and upholds a high standard of student journalism to serve our community.
